We are a national web design franchise company based in Torquay, Devon, and we’re now looking for a front end web developer to join our fast-growing team and help us bring our website projects to life
We are seeking a passionate individual with a fundamental understanding of website coding, as well as a keen interest in web design as a whole.
Ideally, you'll have a portfolio of websites that you’ve not only coded yourself but have had a hand in the design of too - we are looking for someone who is prepared to demonstrate their technical skills while also having some creative ability. You’ll be a team player who is also self-motivated and able to work to tight deadlines; you’ll have a keen eye for detail and a hunger to learn and improve. You will receive full training on how to code our bespoke CMS, with ongoing support from the rest of our close-knit front-end team. We are however looking for someone who can hit the ground running and ideally you will be confident in the skills listed below.
Excellent knowledge of HTML and CSS
Good understanding of responsive design principles
A strong sense of web design fundamentals
UI, UX, and user-based design knowledge
Able to communicate complicated technical concepts for staff and clients of varying levels of ability
Ability to communicate with and work closely with our great team of front-end coders and designers.
Desirable:
SCSS
Javascript
Experience using the Adobe Creative Suite – particularly Adobe XD but also Photoshop and Illustrator
Previous experience building sites using any CMS
Full time | hybrid working About this vacancy
This is a full time hybrid working role based at our national Head Office in Torquay for 2 days per week and from home 3 days per week. Salary will be £22-25k depending on experience. Working hours are 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday.
