We have a fantastic opportunity for an SEO Lead with extensive experience in Search Engine Optimisation and Organic Search. 
 
This is a newly created and key role where you will be the Subject Expert for our SEO strategy, develop and lead team members, and work closely with our business partners to deliver outstanding results for our clients. 
 
The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of all aspects of SEO from technical optimisation to content strategy, and be confident in guiding team members. 
 
Whilst you will be using our own SEO platform, experience with WordPress SEO would be advantageous. 
About the role

What you will be doing 

Lead, mentor, and support the SEO team to deliver high-quality work across multiple industries and business sectors. 
Craft original, engaging web content to boost organic traffic, improve rankings, and enhance user engagement for our website customers covering various industries. 
Use our keyword research system to optimise content for SEO and implement findings sitewide. 
Incorporate relevant keywords naturally into content to improve search rankings, website visibility and authority. 
Deliver within any copy a clear and consistent tone of voice that resonates with target audiences. 
Conduct on-site optimisations, including internal and external link-building. 
Conduct market research and trends analysis to monitor trending topics. 
Build and maintain strong partner relationships through regular communication and reporting. 
Work with marketing team members to communicate success and findings within the SEO service 
Generate monthly reports and present findings to the Directors with a test-and-learn culture to improve SEO service and customer retention. 
Provide structure to the SEO team and monitor workflow, KPI and service level delivery. 
Be pivotal in generating procedures and best practices 
Develop and support the team to enable them fulfil their potential. 
Be creative and innovative in your approach and always be on the lookout for how we can improve and evolve our offering and processes.

What we are looking for 

What we are looking for 

The ideal candidate will have experience in leading a team and excellent copywriting skills, with the ability to follow our standardised SEO system and improve our customers' organic search results. 
 
Proven experience in an SEO role, with demonstrable success in improving organic visibility and performance. 
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex SEO concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 
Excellent understanding of SEO best practices, tools, and techniques across technical, on-page, and off-page optimisation. 
Creative thinker with a flair for generating ideas for excellent website content. 
Strong analytical mindset with experience using tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console and SEO platforms. 

Full time | hybrid working About this role 

We recognise the value of balancing and blending life and work. We aim to attract an exceptional candidate for the role and are therefore offering it on a hybrid/flexible basis. There is a minimal requirement to be at our Torquay Head Office 1-2 days a week, with the rest of the time working remotely. We therefore welcome applications not just from the South Devon area, but also from the wider South West area, from those who can commit to working on this basis.
