Expedition Yorkshire has been developed by it’seeze on a Max package since launching their website in January 2022. Over the first two and a half years, the site underwent gradual improvements, including the addition of booking functionality and new pages. In April 2025, a focused SEO strategy was introduced, alongside ongoing monthly optimisation, to enhance search performance and drive increased website traffic and conversions from both UK and US tourists.
Our challenge
By mid-2025, the Expedition Yorkshire website was performing well domestically but struggled to attract meaningful visibility and enquiries from international audiences.
While the site offered engaging content and a strong visual identity, it lacked the structured SEO foundation needed to reach potential customers beyond the UK.

The site now ranks on the first page of Google for 28 targeted keywords, many of which it had not previously appeared for, contributing to a 52% increase in search impressions and an 84% rise in website clicks.
Comparing April–August 2025 with the same period in 2024: sessions from the United States (their primary target market) rose by 79%, alongside additional growth from Canada, New Zealand, France, and Spain.
These gains in visibility have not only strengthened the site’s domestic presence but also contributed to a notable rise in international visitors, reflecting the expanding reach of the Expedition Yorkshire brand.
