About Glenns Opticians:
Glenns Opticians is a long established family business founded in 1936. It is located in Crosby, Merseyside about six miles north of Liverpool.
What was wrong with their previous website?
They had a website site that was nine years old. The website editor was complicated to use and they had received little on-going service or help from their web designer, so their website had hardly changed in nine years.
Why did they need a new website?
Glenns Opticians were keen to move into the market of selling designer branded frames to capitalise on the fact they were in an affluent area and some local competitors had recently ceased trading. “We wanted to increase our sales of designer frames as this is where the growth in the market is.” - Glenns Opticians Owner
However their new target audience were likely to be keen smart phone users and because their website was not easy to view a mobile phone, this would inevitably result in missed sales opportunities.
Their current website looked out of date and not the “high-end”, modern website you would associate with a retailer of branded products. “Our existing site website was old fashioned in terms of design and technology.” - Glenns Opticians Owner
How have they benefited from their it’seeze website?
Their new fully responsive website has generated an increase in enquiries from mobile phone users since it is easy for people to browse their website on any device.
The contemporary design of their new website has enabled them to promote their high-end products. “Our new modern looking it’seeze website now appeals to our target market” - Glenns Opticians Owner
The it’seeze website editor has also made it easy for them to update their website regularly. “The it’seeze web editor is by far the simplest editor I have come across. It does not require any use of coding which is a real bonus. Yet it is also very powerful and flexible. You can crop an image with without having to use another programme - which saves so much time. It’s great” - Glenns Opticians Owner
