The Latest it'seeze Website Editor Updates - April 2018
Published on 26th April 2018
At it’seeze, we like to keep adding value to what we offer, which is why we’re always updating our website packages.
We really mean it when we say an it’seeze website is a website for life, because with so many new features being rolled out to every customer, you never have to worry about your website becoming outdated.
Take a look at some of our recently launched features and updates to see what’s been added to the it’seeze website editor over the last couple of months – including several new developments for the it’seeze Commerce package:
Atom and RSS feeds
You can now add an Atom or RSS feed to any it’seeze Max or Commerce website.
This is a great way to engage your website visitors as you can display a feed from any relevant external source - such as a news site or blog, e.g. the latest BBC News updates - and this will automatically update whenever new content is added.
If you have an it’seeze Lite website, you are now able to use the confirmation component with forms – if you have a Max or Commerce website, you already benefit from this feature.
The confirmation component allows you to add a tick box to your form that website visitors must tick before they can submit their details.
This is useful for capturing consent, which is a key part of making sure your website is GDPR compliant – you can read more about making your website compliant ahead of the new data protection laws here.
If you have an it’seeze Commerce website, you can now add Cardstream to your online shop.
This allows you to offer your customers a greater variety of payment methods, as through Cardstream your website can now be integrated with CardPayGo, Handepay, Pay Global, and Retail Merchant Services, with even more payment gateways to follow soon.
Discounts can now be applied to specific products in it’seeze Commerce shops.
This is ideal if you only want to offer a discount on a certain brand, collection, or type of product, and can also be used for seasonal offers, e.g. 20% off all swimwear.
You can also let your customers change the order that products are displayed in as they browse your shop.
Products can be sorted by relevance (the order shown in the shop management panel), popularity (the number of purchases), name, price (either ascending or descending), or by newest arrivals (the date the product was added to the shop).
This will not only improve the user experience for your customers but will also allow them to more easily find the products they are looking for as they view your online store.
Another new feature for it’seeze Commerce websites that we’ve recently added is the ability to display stock information in the shopping basket.
You can choose whether to show the exact stock level, e.g. We only have 5 of this item in stock, or a general message, e.g. We do not have enough of this item in stock.
Displaying the exact stock level will let your customers know how many products they need to reduce their basket by if they're trying to order more products than are in stock. This can help to manage your customers' expectations and avoid disappointment.
