These are very challenging times for all of us. However, for those working in and being treated by the NHS, it really is a matter of life and death.

So, no matter how hard we have it during lockdown, we should remember that there are people out there literally putting their life on the line to try and keep us all safe. Working long hours in dangerous conditions, they are saving countless lives and helping to keep the rest of us protected.
That’s why, here at it’seeze, we’ve decided to launch a fundraising campaign to support the NHS during these difficult times. We know they need our support, and that anything we can do to help will be much appreciated.

Our aim is to raise money by completing 100km in 10 days through the combined efforts of the staff at our national support hub and our network of local consultants. Working together as a team, everyone who takes part will either walk or run part of the distance over the course of 10 days to help us reach our target.

The challenge will begin on Monday 4th May and finish on Wednesday 13th May. We'll be reporting on our progress via our social media channels, so don’t forget to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn to see all the latest action. It’s not about breaking any records, it’s just about stepping outside our own personal comfort zones to show our support.

Our aim is to try and raise as much money as possible and to do our bit to support the NHS when they most need it. If you would like to help us to support our doctors, nurses, porters, paramedics, ambulance drivers — and everyone else out there working to make a difference — then please do donate what you can. We know these are difficult times for all of us, especially financially but remember, every donation – however small – makes a difference. Even if it’s only a couple of pounds, it will all be going directly to the people who need it most right now.

To make a donation and find out a little bit more about the challenge, please visit our fundraising page. If you’ve been wanting to do your bit but haven’t found the right place to donate, then this could be it.

We’d love to raise as much money as possible for all those working hard to keep us safe — to make sure that they have everything they need to do their difficult job as well and safely as possible. Thank you in advance for your support.

Hopefully these tough times will soon start to ease off and we can all start the process of getting back to normal. But in the meantime, stay safe and well, and wish us luck as we begin our 100km journey in support of the NHS!

Update: We decided our initial fundraising challenge wasn't challenging enough! We've upped our target from 100km in 10 days to 260km in 10 days, with our new goal not only pushing us to work that bit harder to raise money for the NHS, but also tying in with the brilliant 2.6 Challenge campaign

This great initiative has been launched to support the UK's charities, which are having to cancel or postpone the fundraising events they rely on for an income due to COVID-19. This has meant many charities have had to reduce or stop their services at a time when people need them the most.

The 2.6 Challenge is a brilliant way for everyone to get involved from home and help to save the nation's charities. Our chosen charity is NHS Charities Together, and we're delighted to be supporting them with our own take on this nationwide challenge.
