We are a national web design franchising company based in Torquay, Devon, and we’re looking for a talented finance and accounts assistant to join our fast-growing team and provide excellent administrative support for our finance & accounts team, franchisees, and customers.
About the role
This is a varied and interesting role, and the successful candidate will undertake an assortment of tasks in order to assist with the daily finance remit.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitoring daily communications and answering any queries from our franchise partners and customers (email and telephone).
Recording financial transactions in the accounting software.
Maintaining customer records.
Credit control and debt chasing.
Customer invoice processing.
Processing payments.
Assisting the finance and accounts team with any ADHOC duties as required.
Supporting the finance team with purchase and sales ledger as well as general accounting duties.
About you
We are seeking a proactive, enthusiastic, and professional individual with a positive, can-do approach and the ability to manage a varied workload.
You should be someone who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team, self-motivated and able to work to deadlines.
Great at building relationships via phone/email.

Skills and experience:
Previous experience using an accounts software in a similar role essential
The ability to manage a varied workload
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
Able to quickly learn new systems (training provided)
Great verbal and written communication skills
Customer service experience desirable
Confidence to work independently
Excellent time management skills
Ability to work flexibly to meet deadlines and react to changing priorities
Great organisational skills
Maintaining accurate financial records
GDPR awareness and the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times
About this vacancy
This is a part-time role based at our national Head Office in Torquay. Salary will be dependent on experience.
30 hours a week permanent contract over five days (Mon-Fri)
You’ll be joining our experienced team in a contemporary working environment, with an open plan office and convenient location.
